Rexona Roadshow

Got this job very last minute. Because not many people know how to do rollerblading. Not showing off, alrighty. It’s just coincidently I know so I got the job Just like that. ;)I was worrying about it actually. I mean it’s been a long since I last did rollerblading or even ice-skating. But well, it turned out fine. In fact, pretty well. I managed to break and stuff.

It’s UCSI on the first day (8th June). It’s about promoting Rexona deodorant spray. Rexona gonna pick the King and the Queen of the cool and give away RM10K to share out among them. And also you can take your old/empty perfume/cologne/deodorant to certain Watson and Guardian outlets on certain dates to exchange a new Rexona deodorant. So GO now! But I guess it’s too late for me to announce now. It left only on 30th June 2006 at Guardian in PKNS Shah Alam. Can go here to find out about it.

I worked with Mei Qin again (!) and with other two guys. I’m the oldest again. Blah. Seriously la, 20 really old already. Can’t compete with them. I rollerbladed a while then my legs were so tired already. Gonna sit down and rest.

But hey, there’s this guy approached me, okie! Don’t know what he’s up to though. And also I met my old friend from high school again. It’s Kuo Ren. I didn’t really see him until like I glanced at the direction where he sat with his friends. I wasn’t sure if it was him until he came up to me. So we just talked a little and I think he’s interested in Mei Qin la. Took her number somemore. L0L.

Then I didn’t work for the whole week because I thought Sin Yi would be coming so my sister replaced me for week. I worked again after almost a week.

We went to Informatics on 16th June. Our base was at the student center and the washroom was out of order. So everytime when I wanted to go to the washroom, I gonna take the lift down to other floors. It’s like very troublesome lor.

But their student center quite cool… They got those gym stuff there. I wonder how many students will be using the machine. Hehe. But, the students love to play table tennis!

Proof!!

Told you! They really like to play and that was the first time I saw African/Nigerian play table tennis. No offence, okie, I don’t know if they’re nigerian or anything. Since it’s not good to call them black so I just called them niggie lor. But one of them quite good in playing table tennis. When I first saw them playing, I was quite shocked. Usually they’ll be like yo yo yo around or play basketball. Maybe they have adapted the lifestyle here. One of them was the first one who sign up to join the contest of King of the Cool. Even helped us to persuade his friends to join. So helpful! If everyone’s like him, our life will be so much easier.

I swear I don’t know what she’s trying to do. I thought we’re going to smile and snap. It looks like she got some evil plan on her mind while I was still happily taking photo.

On the following Monday, we went to Sunway University College. Oh by the way, XP and UMin are from there too. So most of the entries for the contest were joined by their friends. I have to say “Damn, they’re really good in ‘forcing’ their friends to join”! As for me, well, my friends/classmates are so useless. I’m really not good in forcing people to join. Only Soon Han joined in the end. And for those who lie kao me said will come back and join and all the stuff, can don’t promise me next time already because I won’t trust you already.

Mei Qin was too bored. So no, we weren’t doing any promo or selling the Nestle thing in the middle.

Didn’t take any photo of me there. Bored until no mood already. And I noticed that the students tend to give me that kind of smile like I’m cheating them after I explained the contest to them. You know that kind of smile like yeah right. *sigh* So hard to persuade people. -_-

We went to Taylor’s Business School on the next day. The first unlucky thing of the day was I forgot to bring my handphone and I didn’t realize until I reached there. Had to ask my mom to bring it over for me. I was afraid that I can’t find them then don’t even have a phone to call them and if you know me well you would know how bad I am in memorizing phone numbers. And also what if my boyfriend calls!

Luckily while waiting I saw XP and UMin already. So no biggie. Waited with Mei Qin while XP and UMin went to talk to the one who incharge this roadshow like where we should set up our buntings and where we can rollerblade. Turn out we cannot go anywhere else except the small path right infront of the building which sometimes there’re cars passed by.

That day was so windy and cold in the morning!! My hair was so messy after that. Should have just tied my hair up that day.

Quite a lot of leng lui in TBS. I met Chia Li as well. So surprise to see her there. I couldn’t recognize her at first until she was talking to me. Well, more like mumbling though. Something that went “Aiya so pai seh to let you see I’m in formal wear”. Then only I realized it’s she. She and her friends are all super helpful. All joined and took photos. Met Yik Hui as well. I think he was undershock when he saw me. He didn’t talk much from seeing me until he finished filling in the form.

Then I approached a group of girls… Like 3 or 4 of them. Explain to them and all. They returned the form to me and didn’t want to join. While I was trying my best to persuade, one of them suddenly told me that I’m very leng lui. Stunned right away. For the first time, stranger told me like that. *jumps around virtually in my mind*

Me and Mei Qin again. Nothing much. The usual routine.

We got to rest on Wednesday and continue the roadshow on Thursday at APIIT. *yay* Last day!

Coincidently, the other event by MYC! called Jam Fest was held at there as well. (Oh my God, I still remember the video how that guy put the tuna/sardine on his head as hair gel!) They even have the hiphop dance for the Jam Fest event. So the students got attracted so easily. Mei Qin and me spotted a few leng zai again.

APIIT is quite spacious so I like to rollerblade there. So spacious that I can do it very fast and turn around. Or go backward. But there’s one thing, there’s slopes to a floor up. We had to rollerblade up. Man, I hate that. I scared falling down since I know I never do it on a slope before.

The classic. *cheers* Yes, I did it without falling (or rather rolling) down, although I still can’t really control the speed when I go down the slope. Going up is so much easier than going down, I guess.

Besides that, a lot of funny things happened. I met this group of guys which one of them claimed that he looks like Lee Hom and asked me if he looks like Lee Hom. I wanted to get them to join so I just said yes. And I think maybe that’s why bringing me so much trouble after that. One of the thing is they asked me to take photo with them. o.O I don’t just take photo with strangers like that! Unless I’m doing some sort of motorshow that kind of thing otherwise it’ll be a no.
