Panadol Launch
*yay* Completed another job! It was the *refer to the title* at KL Hilton’s Grand Ballroom.
My sister and I both got the job and I expected to see some familiar faces like Veron and Mei Qin, but no, they actually imported girls from Penang. We both were really quiet when we’re not close to anyone. We were so outcast!
We had to work from 7.30pm to 1am on Wednesday (28th June) for preparation and no one told us that. We was told to wear white short skirts and we thought that day was the real day as well. Imagine how my sister and I carrying things in our white short skirts. Really zha dou. We’re really like some idiotic girls. Like fragile vase. Standing. Trying to help. But can’t do much. -_-
The best thing when Wai Leng did the briefing, only then we know we actually don’t have to wear white short skirts already. We can wear jeans. P/s: It’s only my sister and I didn’t know about it. The other 4 Penang girls knew about it. And I spent RM20 something to buy the skirt but luckily it’s a nice skirt although a bit stained since it’s the last piece (& I think it’s some old stocks). *sigh**sigh**sigh*
Things seemed to be quite negative, right. I know. Let me talk about KL Hilton’s extra good service. Although we wore so crappy, they didn’t give us anything feelings/impression that they look down on us. The bellyboys opened the door for us with greetings like “Good Evening. How are you today?” Almost all the staffs passed by us will greet us that way. The decoration is fab. The cake in a lounge nearby the Grand Ballroom looked so delicious! I’m afraid that a piece of it will cost me whole day of my pay. Kept reminding myself I was there to work.
I was so close to having sorethroat again. Because honestly we’re lack of sufficient sleep. Reached home that night at around 2am. After showered it’s about 2.30am, slept about 3 hours, got up again and my boyfriend picked us to KL Hilton. Traffic sucks big time! Reached there late already.
Didn’t do much thing except for blowing balloons for the game, welcoming people and doing up the registration. I thought I’d have the chance to see how they launched the Panadol and the hip hop dance. But I was assigned to take care of the registration counter.

Most of the time my sister and I just sat at the registration counter and doing nothing. We were sort of back-up. Really bored. I’d rather to do things than just sitting there. It’s really terrible when you have to control your sleepiness yet you’re so so so damn sleepy.
Until it’s about to finish, we got things to do.
Please excuse the oversized T-shirt. Too long. Too big. Can’t even tuck-in my jeans. I had to tie a knot behind. double -_-
So then it ended with a press conference or so. Packed the things. Waited to get my pay with my boyfriend. And he knows the contractors as well. I didn’t know he’s that well-connected. Ended up he started to leave me and went to talk to them. Worse when he asked me when I could leave because his friends were leaving soon already then nobody were gonna keep him accompany. triple -_-
I left with a box of 6 pieces KFC nuggets from KL Central and slept for about 15 hours.
OOOoooohhhHHhhh~ Haven’t been sleeping this long for a long time already!
& before I end my entry, I gonna say…
I got new hair bangs! Like it and also my boyfriend’s new hairdo!

With all due respect, on behalf of the entire crew, MYC! & GlaxoSmithKline, we thank you for your participation & hardwork for it.
I apologize as well, on behalf of the “ah beng” who did not inform you of the “no need” for the skirts. It was never an instruction handed down to be on skirts from either me or the other project managers.
Nevertheless, I’m sorry the launch did not have the opportunity to include you and your sister as I did not assign the positions.
The reason being that we’ve imported the girls from Penang, is because they were trained by me for the Penang launch, which is the last stop before we ended up in Hilton, KL. With that, the girls are experienced and fit to ensure no flaws in the most important and prestigious event and corporate launch of them all.
As the Show Director & Event Operations Manager, I’ve to do everything to ensure that the event runs smoothly and at its very best. Eventhough I may not have the chance to work closely with the both of you and not even enough time to say Hi, I’m sure in the near future, your services and an opportunity to do cooperate again will be considered. You’ve done a great job in your responsibilities and I will not hesitate to have you in the team in the near future.
The show is a success with the both of you assisting as well, even though it’s a boring sleepy thing on the reception counter. Sleep well, take great rest and cheers.
Kindly send regards to Justin as well. From Brandon of Event Communications.
Until then, good luck in your future undertakings. Blessings and warmest regards.
