In The Name Of World Cup & Money III
As mentioned.
We went to Binary College at Puchong and Lim Kok Wing at Taman Mayang on the 8th day of this roadshow.
It was so hot that we had to make use of the A-board to, well, shade ourselves from the sun.
Actually the Binary college looks alright, but we saw something on the notice boards and that freaked me out a little. I should’ve snapped them but my camera wasn’t with me. It’s actually some notice with big fronts saying things like Wanted By Police. We were shocked. I don’t know about other colleges/universities, but for mine, I’ve never seen anything like that. After reading the notice, the students that are wanted are international students but they didn’t attend any classes. So they made police reports or some sort of stuff like that. Maybe they suspect the students are working illegally or something. I don’t know. Just pure assumption.
What is the point of having a pair of shades if you don’t wear them during the sunny (and hot!!) days?
It might not be your cup of tea, but there’s one student from this college asked me where I bought it from. *ahem*
L0L. I don’t know how’s the Yeo’s people going to response, man! So little students that we practically seeing the same 10 people over and over again. So we decided to leave earlier to Lim Kok Wing.
Lim Kok Wing’s response was totally the opposite of the Binary’s. So many students participated. But thanks to the lecturers there. They did help us a lot. Like allowing the students to come out from the class halfway to take part in this event.
At the same time it’s considered the worst day for me. I had to go walk the stairs up and down with the blades on. Thank God that I didn’t fall (or roll?) down. Oh yeah that’s one funny thing happened.
Apparently, there’s this guy came over and wanted to buy from us. So Mei Qin told him we can’t sell them because we’re giving them out for free. He got angry and he said something along this line “Ma hai, buy from you also cannot!”.
Shocked. Stoned. Laughed.
It’s actually quite funny if you think about it. It’s like you can’t even buy something you want even if you have the money! So really, money can’t buy everything eh?
Here comes the last day of the roadshow. Wow. Can’t believe I completed another roadshow although I missed one day. Hehe. Went to UKM and UTAR on the last day, and that’s when I met my darling Sin Yi for the very first time after she’s been in KL to further her study.

I think the photo describes the response in UKM very clearly.
My darling Sin Yi! That’s definitely not our best photo but what the heck, as long as we’re in a pair.
Couldn’t talk much to her ’cause I gonna work ma. And to my shock, my ex-schoolmate is her classmate now. o.O Yes met her as well that day. I didn’t even know what to talk to her except hi and bye.
Imagine this. We used to be very close. Hanging out and all. But we didn’t keep in touch after we finished our Form 5. And now that we’ve seen each other again, but we’ve got nothing to talk. I know it sounds sad, but that’s life, no? People come and leave.
Let’s bring back to my work! So yes, the above is our ‘uniform’. It’s actually an apron which its shape is a leaf’s shape. And that reminds me of the people in the olden days who just wore leaves to cover their privates part.
After that we went to UTAR. The students were so shy to take free drinks from us. I had to make funny slogan like there’s no free lunch in this world BUT there’s free drinks in this world!. So stupid, I know. -_-
We’re sort of in a barter system. We managed to do trading with the rojak guy and the ice-cream guy.

We had free rojak! Though it wasn’t that nice. Ah Beng took the ice-cream photos too, but I don’t have any of them.
(if you happen to read this, please e-mail me the ice-cream photo if you still have them, thanks! :D)
Went home after that. That’s my third roadshow.
