Back
Got back in East Lansing at about 5:30pm.
To my surprise, my apartment didn’t look that bad after 3months+ of not staying here. And the management sort of painted the apartment. They moved my stuff around a little bit and I felt that the wall is slightly cleaner.
I wanted to wash my bedsheet but realized I didn’t have any quarters. I mean, I do have some but not enough to get them washed and dried. But luckily I found a clean one so changed it. Ahhh… Back to the life where I have to do everything on my own and most of the time, alone.
There’s so much on my mind. I wanted to get a lot of stuff (think: refrigerator is so empty now!). I think I’m just gonna hire the company to steam my carpet. Feels really terrible after 1 year+ of not steaming the carper… It feels so…. flat? Not fluffy anymore, you know.
Better get it done before the school gets crazy!
Also, need to send my car for service on Tuesday (hopefully there’s empty slot for me!).
Hmmm. Bus pass’ price increased to $50. Now it’s about $4/gallon for the gas (like $50+ for my car’s full tank! OUccch!). Get quarters. Wash my bedsheet. Wipe tables. And…
Okay. I think I sould like a real aunty here now.
Time to get ready for school.
Hello nerdy Zoe!

Welcome back!!Did you sublease your apartment the duration you were home or you just left it empty?
Better enjoy the rest of the summer before school starts. Does school start after labor’s day too??

Nope, I didn’t sublease the apartment. It’s only a one-bedroom apartment with a lot of my things filled in and I’m not comfortable with having total strangers staying in my room, on my bed, & probably look through my undies! Hehe. School started today already! But yay to long weekend this weekend!

That’s true but I just thought that since you were gone for 3 months you would store your stuff in a storage or something and sublease it so that you don’t have to blindly pay for 3 months rent but it works either way too..Have a good weekend!

Melissa, right. I can actually do that. But one of the main purpose for me to stay in an apartment is that I don’t have to pack my things when I go home and then come back and go to pick up stuff and unpack again. I did all that on my own last year and it was really tiring & frustrating simply because I can’t heavy stuff and no one’s there to help me out at the storage. So yeah.
Anyway, you have a good weekend too!
KH, yes, they have. They sometimes even do a little spot-check. Like if your fire alarm is working and if you take care of the apartment (i.e. cannot be too messy).
